16.1.2019: Meetup “Kick off 2019 with the ‘Women in Digital Health’ community!”

Drinks and festivities. Inspiring conversations and genuine networking. An opportunity to shape the community together.

At our first event for 2019, we want to hear from you! Join us for an evening of casual celebration and ideation. We want to know:

  • How can we improve the community experience for you?
  • What type of events would you like to see more of in 2019?
  • What digital health topics are you interested in learning about in the new year?
  • Any other wishes?

If you have an interesting project or update you would like to share with the community that evening, the floor is also yours!

We look forward to seeing you there, be part of it through Meetup!

14.11.2018: Women in Digital Health” presents: MYDATA & how to get from pharma to digital health start-up by Daniela Gunz

Very excited to announce that our guest speaker at the upcoming meetup will be Daniela Gunz.

1st part: Daniela Gunz will tell us how she transitioned from a life in pharma and clinical research to being part of a thriving digital health start-up (healthbank), co-lead of WiDH and member of the Swiss MYDATA hub.

2nd part: MYDATA was initially a group of entrepreneurs, activists, academics, listed corporations, public agencies, and developers sharing a common goal: to empower individuals with their personal data. MYDATA was turned formally into an association on Oct 11, 2018. Daniela will speak about the vision and the action of the global MYDATA association, the local Swiss Hub, will briefly touch GDPR and will also present some examples of PIMS (Personal Information Management Services), healthbank being one of them. In a short workshop session we will discuss our rights on data we have ( (healthcare data is the most sensitive one, but there’s also shopping data if you think about Migros Cumulus etc.) and will try to execute them with a hands-on exercise.

3rd part: Networking apéro, enjoy snacks, drinks, and get to know other people in digital health

Join us at that evening and be inspired!

Important: As “Women in Digital Health” is a non-profit organisation, please note that the event fee will be used to cover organisation work, room rent and the networking apéro. Please book your ticket here:

She has increasingly gained interest in people becoming owner of their data, has signed the MYDATA declaration, is a founding member of global MYDATA association and is now part of setting up the Swiss MYDATA hub, being a fighter for the idea of digital self-determination and the right to own your data. Daniela holds a master degree and PhD in life sciences from the ETH in Zurich, has 15 years of experience in clinical research and has been in the digital health start-up ecosystem for almost 4 years.
